1. Introduction
These Terms of Service are a contract between you and Seckin Yasar for Skip to the Point, the website at https://skiptothepoint.app, the browser extension, and the account that goes with them. Together, that is the Service.
By creating an account, installing the extension, or using the Service, you agree to these terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old. The Service is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly offer accounts to anyone under 18.
3. The Service
Skip to the Point is a desktop browser extension. It reads a YouTube video's transcript, marks sponsors, self-promo, filler, and outros, and can skip those sections during playback. It does not skip advertisements that YouTube inserts. It is not a mobile app. Seckin Yasar is not affiliated with YouTube or Google.
Analysis needs captions. A video without a transcript cannot be analyzed. On the Free plan, analysis is limited to videos of 15 minutes or less. Pro and Pro Plus accept any length.
An analysis can mark the wrong section or miss a section. You control playback and can seek back. These terms do not guarantee that a skip is correct.
Auto-analyze is optional. Watching a video for more than 5 seconds can start an analysis and spend tokens. You can turn Auto-analyze off.
The extension may be listed on the Chrome Web Store. Google's Chrome Web Store terms govern that listing and the install. Google can refuse, suspend, or remove the listing. That is between you and Google for the store, and it does not end this contract between you and Seckin Yasar.
4. Accounts and sign-in
You sign in with Google, GitHub, or Discord, or with an email one-time code. The account is yours. Do not share it. You are responsible for activity on it.
When you use Google, GitHub, or Discord, we receive the profile that provider sends, including your name, email address, and profile image. We keep what that sign-in returns so you stay signed in and so the same person returns to the same account.
A session stores the IP address and browser of the request. An extension installation stores the browser, operating system, extension version, and the last IP address seen for that installation. The Privacy Policy states why that data is kept and for how long.
You can ask for the account to be deleted by emailing support@skiptothepoint.app. The account and the analysis history tied to it are deleted. Plan tokens still on the account are removed. A record still needed for a refund, a chargeback, or a legal claim is kept. The Privacy Policy states what else is kept.
5. Plans and tokens
A token is the unit spent when the Service analyzes a video. Tokens are not money. They cannot be transferred, sold, or cashed out.
The free daily balance is 30,000 tokens. It refreshes each day. Unused daily tokens do not carry over to the next day.
Pro includes 100,000 plan tokens for each monthly billing period. Pro Plus includes 300,000 plan tokens for each monthly billing period. There is no separate token pack. Unused plan tokens stay on the account while the subscription is active. A renewal brings the plan token balance up to the amount included in the plan when the balance is below that amount. It does not add a second allowance on top of tokens that are still unused.
6. Payment
Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.
A paid plan is a monthly subscription. It renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel it. The price, the currency, and the billing period are shown at checkout before you pay. Paddle charges the price and the applicable tax. Prices on this site are in US dollars. Paddle issues the invoice. The Paddle entity named on the receipt is the seller of record for that purchase. The purchase is also covered by the Paddle Buyer Terms. We do not store your card number.
7. Cancellation
You cancel from the Billing page, which opens the Paddle customer portal. Scheduling a cancellation stops the next renewal. It does not end the period you have already paid. You keep the paid plan and the plan tokens until that period ends. When the period ends, the remaining plan tokens are removed. The free daily balance stays.
8. Refunds
Paddle handles refund requests under its Refund Policy. A discretionary refund may be considered case by case. A request made within 14 days of the payment does not, by itself, guarantee a refund. This does not affect a statutory withdrawal or refund right. Where that right applies, it is governed by applicable law and the Paddle Refund Policy. The detail is on our Refund Policy.
If Paddle approves a full refund, or the payment is charged back, the paid plan ends at that time and the plan tokens still on the account are removed. The balance does not go below zero. Tokens already spent are not billed again. A partial refund does not, by itself, end the plan or remove the plan tokens. The free daily balance stays.
9. Acceptable use
Do not share the account, resell tokens, overload the Service, or bypass a plan limit. Use YouTube under YouTube's own terms. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
10. Videos and transcripts
YouTube videos and their transcripts belong to their owners. We use the transcript to produce the analysis. We store which video it was, the title when we have it, and the analysis result. We do not own the video or the transcript.
11. Intellectual property
The Skip to the Point name, website, and extension belong to Seckin Yasar. These terms give you a personal, non-exclusive, revocable right to use the Service. They do not give you the right to copy the extension, resell it, or use the brand without permission.
12. Other services
Sign-in, payment, and the extension listing depend on other companies. An outage or a refusal from one of them is their decision. It does not make Seckin Yasar responsible for that company.
13. Changes to the Service
The Service, the plans, and the token amounts can change or stop. A price change applies to a future billing period, not to a period you have already paid.
14. Limitation of liability
The Service is provided as available. To the extent the law allows, Seckin Yasar is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost tokens, a wrong skip, or YouTube being unavailable. These terms do not remove a liability the law does not allow us to remove, including a mandatory consumer right.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. If you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live still apply, and you can still use the courts those laws give you. These terms do not take those rights away.
16. Changes to these terms
These terms can be updated by posting a new version on this page with a new date. A change to the price applies to a future billing period, not to a period you have already paid. If you keep using the Service after that date, you agree to the updated terms. If you do not agree, stop using the Service and cancel a paid plan before the next renewal.
17. Contact
Seckin Yasar
support@skiptothepoint.app
A question about the Service goes to that address. A question about a charge, or a refund, goes to Paddle, as the Refund Policy describes. We aim to reply within two to three business days. That period is not a guarantee.
